Cookie notice

Last updated: April 23, 2026

This Cookie Notice explains how Autoliv ("we", "us", and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website autoliv.com ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control their use.

What are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the site owners.

Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly Necessary: These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personal features. The information these cookies collect may be anonymized, and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.
  • Performance cookies: These cookies allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
  • Functional cookies: These cookies are used to recognize you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name, and remember your preferences, for example, your choice of language or region.
  • Marketing cookies: These cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited, and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our website and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose, so that when you are on another website, you may be shown advertising based on your browsing patterns on our website. We may also show you advertising on our website based on your browsing patterns on other websites that we have obtained from our advertising partners.

Please find below a detailed overview of which cookies we have implemented on this website to provide the required sophisticated services.

Cloudflare cookies may be set directly by our website www.autoliv.com (first-party) or by third-party services that use Cloudflare for security and traffic management. In both cases, the cookie serves the same purpose as described below.

Cloudflare security cookies may appear under multiple domains because Cloudflare protects both our site and the third-party services we embed. These cookies are strictly necessary for security and cannot be disabled

AWS Load Balancer Cookies
AWSALB / AWSALBCORS / AWSALBTG / AWSALBTGCORS / AWSELB — These cookies are set by Amazon Web Services (AWS) when the website is hosted behind an AWS Elastic Load Balancer or Application Load Balancer. They are used to route traffic and maintain session stickiness across backend servers to ensure stable performance and session continuity. These are strictly necessary infrastructure cookies and do not contain personal data. For more information on AWS cookie use and privacy, see the AWS Privacy Notice.

These third parties may place cookies or collect information through their services.

Managing Cookies

You will see a cookie consent banner or interface when you first visit our sites. It will allow you to:

  • Accept only strictly necessary cookies.
  • Accept or reject non-essential cookies (Functional, Marketing, and Performance).
  • Change your consent preferences later via a “Manage Cookies” or equivalent link available on the website.

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies.

  • You can modify your browser settings to refuse all cookies or to alert you when cookies are sent.
  • You can also delete cookies already stored on your device.
  • Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

If you withdraw your consent for non-essential cookies, those cookies will be disabled going forward, and any data collection via them will stop (except for those strictly necessary cookies).

You have several rights related to your data and to receive information directly from us about how we process personal data about you. If you want to exercise your rights and for other types of privacy questions, please email us at alv-dataprivacy@autoliv.com.

  • The right to have your data deleted
You have the right to ask us to delete personal data about you, for example, personal data that we no longer need for the purpose it was collected for, or personal data that we process based on a consent that you wish to revoke.
  • Right to be informed
You have the right to be informed of how we process your data. We inform you through this privacy notice, by general employee privacy notices issued from time to time, and by answering your questions at any given time.
  • Right to receive access to your data
You have the right to know if Autoliv processes personal data about you, and to receive a copy (“data extract”) of such data. Through the data extract, you will receive information about what personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
  • Right to rectification
You have the right to request that we rectify inaccurate information or complete information about you that you consider is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Right to restrict processing
If you believe that your data is inaccurate, that our processing is unlawful, or that we do not need certain information for a specific purpose, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of such personal data. You also can request that we stop processing your data while we assess your request.
  • Right to object to our processing of your data

  • Right to object to an automated decision that significantly affects you
You have the right to object to our use of automated decisions or conclusions if the decision produces legal effects or significantly affects you. Please note that no automated decision-making is being conducted within the scope of the survey.
  • Right to withdraw your consent – opt out.
If marketing materials such as newsletters are sent out to customers, there will always be an opt-out link that the customer can access to disable further notifications or distribution.

Right to lodge a complaint
If you have complaints about our processing of your personal data, you may complain to the Lead Supervisory Authority in Sweden (https://www.imy.se/en/individuals/forms-and-e-services/file-a-gdpr-complaint/).
